While I spent most of my career as operations manager of several Wall Street based companies, as well as owned my own mortgage bank, I have always maintained a serious passion for cooking and food preparation. I have been asked on multiple occasions to cater large family functions, some of which have exceeded 75 people.
As I take on the next chapter of my life, I have decided to attend a professional culinary school so as to refine my skills in the food preparation arena. I begin in October of 2015, the culinary training program at the Professional Culinary Academy in Poughkeepsie, NY. The instructor has been trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and has worked at various restaurants, resorts and hotels in his career.
I expect to receive training in the following, but not limited to;
Food Safety and Sanitation
ServSafe Training (Food Handler's Certification)
Job Readiness Training

While I am attending this school I will be seeking to obtain an entry level position in a local kitchen so as to jump start my new career. I am available 7 days a week, especially on weekends.
